March 2011 – The congregation votes to call John E. Johnson as Senior Pastor. John begins his service to the Lord through the ministry of Crossview.
February 2011 – The team announces to the church that a candidate has been selected.
January 2011 – The team narrows down the list to the final candidates. They begin listening to sermons and checking references of the top candidates.
December 2010 – The team suspends receiving resumes while we continue reviewing resumes from candidates and begin narrowing down the list of candidates after prayerful consideration.
November 2010 – The team continues receiving and reviewing resumes from candidates.
October 2010 – The team begins receiving and reviewing resumes from candidates.
September 2010 – The team completes and reviews the church-wide survey and completes the Church and Pastor Profiles.
August 2010 – The team publishes a church-wide survey and begins work on the Church Profile; releases Pastor Search web site.
July 2010 – The team meets with community partners and continues work on the Senior Pastor Profile. We receive additional information including a Community Profile from our associational director, Larry Fillingim.
June 2010 – The team begins working on understanding Biblical requirements for spiritual leaders as well as meeting with ministry teams.
May 2010 – The team meets weekly to organize, elect officers, and pray. The team gets input from Rev. Van Kicklighter, Interim Pastor.
April 2010 – The Pastor Search Team is selected by the Elders and Deacons and subsequently affirmed by the congregation.
March 2010 – Nominations for the Pastor Search Team are received. Rev. Van Kicklighter becomes Interim Pastor.
