Come Be a Part of the Growth!
We would love to have you be an active part of Crossview! Whether you are a regular attender or member, you can
participate in any of the activities and programs of the church. However, to serve in certain capacities such
as teaching a Sunday School class or being a member of a constitutional ministry team, you must be
a member of Crossview.
See below for the various ways that you can become a member of Crossview.
Join a Sunday School Class
Anyone who attends the church on a regular basis is encouraged to join a Sunday School
class. Our Sunday School classes provide more than just solid teaching.
The classes are organized into smaller groups called care groups - these
groups all have a leader who you can call at anytime when you're having
difficulties in life - such as a death in the family, sickness, or divorce.
You do NOT have to be a Christian or be baptized to join a Sunday School class.
Join by Profession of Faith and Baptism
Publicity stating your faith in Christ Jesus (see Knowing God)
and accepting Him as the Lord and Savior of your life is the first step
in becoming a member of Crossview. This is followed with
believers baptism (baptism by immersion after you have professed
your faith in Jesus).
Baptism is an act not necessary for one's salvation, but one that serves as a
visible symbol of what Christ has done in a person's heart. Baptism is a
prerequisite for church membership.
Join by Transfer of Membership
If you are a member of another Baptist church, you can choose to
transfer your membership from that church to Crossview. When you come
down during the invitation time, let us know what church you are currently
a member of and we will handle transferring your membership.
Join by Statement
If you are presently a member of another denomination, but have publicly
professed faith in Christ and have experience believer's baptism,
you may choose to join by a statement of your faith.
KidzWalk 101 - Children
Children who have made a public profession of faith in Jesus must go through
a 4-week course called KidzWalk 101 BEFORE they can be baptized.
This course walks a child through the steps required to become a Christian
to make sure they clearly understand what they are doing and the commitment
they are making. A parent or guardian must attend the class with the child.
Contact our Childrens Coordinator if you are interested in your child
attending one of these classes.
